Adolescent counselling and Health Care Programme is a unique, novel and innovative theme conceived and launched by the Department of Higher Secondary Education. ”Souhrida Club’ of the our school organised two sessions for the Higher Secondary students on 22 November 2019.

Reproductive health is the total well-being in all aspects of reproduction – behavioural, emotional, physical, and social. It is very important to maintain a good reproductive health for a healthy society and population. Adolescence is that stage when a person experiences growth and sexual maturity.

Thus, it is essential to practice good hygienic habits starting from this stage itself. In order to ensure proper health, one has to maintain hygiene at a personal level (personal hygiene). They also have to take care of the hygiene at the community level (social hygiene).

Dr. Mini G Unnikrishnan conducted a session on ‘Reproductive Health & Hygiene’ to the benefit of the adolescent boys and girls of the school.

The students also had the opportunity to get their doubts cleared after the session. Mr. S Harikumar (Hypnotic Counsellor and Certified Trainer) handled an interactive session with the boys and girls. He could ease out the anxiety and tension among them on their academics, career and future. His session was also aimed at building mental health and confidence.

Smt.Sheeja Kurien (HSS Teacher & Co-ordinator, ‘Souhrida’) was the moderator and facilitator to the programme.
