The Football Coaching Programme initiated by RVSM Higher Secondary School as part of the centenary celebration gained momentum through the years. Started with the support of Kerala Blasters, Scoreline and Kerala Football Association in the initial years, the Football School now moves on to the next level.
This Football School decided to stand on its own after these years of steady and systematic practice sessions and continued exposure to the district and state-level matches. The guidance of AIFF approved coaches could instill confidence and maturity among the players to meet greater challenges.
Our young players won the championship in the Golden Baby League matches of All India Football Federation and the District-level matches for the Reliance Cup. They brought out sterling performances in the Subroto Cup matches. The boys and girls clad in color jerseys playing disciplined football at the dawn and dusk in the school playground attract hundreds of people.
The specially designed Summer Coaching Programme starts during the first week of April and concludes by the last week of May. Those players who want to pursue their practice are offered with regular coaching sessions throughout the year. The students are grouped according to their age: Under 6 (U/6), U/8, U/10, U/12, U/14, and U/15.
More girls are joining both Summer Coaching Programme and Regular Programme. The services of doctors specialized in sports medicine, nutritionists and physiotherapists will be made available to the participants. The participants have to attend theory classes as well.
Leadership and motivational classes are part of the curriculum. The players will have the opportunity to see leading football matches played in Kerala.

Currently, Mr. S Sreejith, the Physical Education Teacher functions as the coordinator of the RVSM Football School.
This year’s summer coaching program is scheduled to commence on 1st April 2020.
