Life in the time of Corona is totally different. Some find it frustrating and for some others, it is the time of creation. While keeping indoors for an endless lockdown, they find time to bring back the talents they have once nurtured. Some found to help the needy with the support of technology. Both the students and teachers of our school spent the time wisely. A few of the attempts that appeared in social media definitely are mindblowing.
One of our teachers Ms. A P Anitha was busy with her paper-craft and created flowers. The images of her creations prompted many of our students to try their hand in paper-craft. Though many Scouts and Guides of our school received hands-on training in paper-craft they never practiced it for want of time.
Ms. Hema, our Mathematics teacher is equally savvy in the paper-craft. She made beautiful flowers during the lock-down-vacation. Some of her creations are showcased here.

Ms. Namsya’s story depicted the tragic state of a poor family in the context of Covid-19 infection. She had already bagged several prizes in essay/story competitions including the one conducted by Library Council.
Sri. C Raveendranath, Minister for Education has sent a congratulatory letter to Ms. Namasya Anil. This letter will be read out at the next school assembly. (Click to read the message of the Minister: Message from Minister )
Mr.Gowtham, a seventh-standard student spent his time in making live-models of earthmovers and heavy equipment. Gowtham has created a miniature machine which actually functions as the real one. With levers and cables, the arms of the machine move swiftly replicating the huge equipment. The video of Mr. Gowtham operating his miniature earthmover went viral in social media.
As three more examinations to go, the students of the 10th standard are finding it difficult to prepare for the SSLC examinations as there no classroom studies or tuition centers during the lockdown period. The teachers of our school rose up to the occasion and started conducting on-line classes through interactive platforms. The teachers in mathematics and science subjects joined the team headed by Ms. G Jayasree (Headmistress) and Ms. Sreeja (IT Co-ordinator). The students are availing of the opportunity and the parents wholeheartedly welcomed the initiative.
RVSM Football School started functioning in April 2017. Elaborate arrangements were made for the summer camp and regular coaching sessions. The lockdown has upset the apple cart.
But the co-ordinator Mr. S. Sreejith and coach Mr. Athil Muhammed found new ways to keep the spirit going. They started giving lessons on the football rules, basic techniques, juggling, and dribbling by way of videos over online platforms. Many players started practicing at their homes and the videos are uploaded in the Football School WhatsApp group.
Ms. Diya of Class IX C spent her time making attractive artifacts from materials discarded after use, be it empty bottles or ice-cream sticks. She made hundreds of cute decorative gift-bottles, paper bags, pen-stands, utility bags, and the like. She keeps a few to herself but most of her creations are gifted to her friends and neighbors.
