1st June 2020: Historic day for RVSM Higher Secondary School as three women teachers take charge as heads of Higher Secondary, High, and LP sections. Ms. G Jayasree, Ms. P Maya, and Ms. L Sreelatha are promoted as Principal (Higher Secondary), Headmistress (High School), and Principal (Nursery & LP School) respectively. Its the first time in the school’s history that the helm of affairs falls in the hands of our women teachers simultaneously.
Ms. G Jayasree: Joined RVSM High School on 2 September 1991. She was promoted as Headmistress of the High School on 1st May 2017. She has two post-graduate degrees and a Bachelor’s degree in Education to her credit. She has passed the State Eligibility Test, a pre-requisite to teaching in Higher Secondary Schools. She has also passed the Account Test, a pre-requisite for taking up administrative posts.
Ms. P Maya: Joined RVSM High School on 1st August 1990. She is a post-graduate in English Literature and has a Bachelor’s degree in Education. She has also passed the Account Test, a pre-requisite for taking up administrative posts. She has undergone training at the Regional Institute of English, Bengaluru, and EFLU (English and Foreign Language University), Hyderabad.
Ms. L Sreelatha: Joined RVSM Nursery & LP School on 4th June 1999. She is a graduate in Zoology (Kerala University) and has a Bachelor’s degree in Education. She has wide exposure in handling and nurturing pre-schoolers and students of Lower Primary school.
