Launched on 24 September 1969, just one week ahead of the Birth Centenary of the Father of Nation, the National Service Scheme under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports of the Government of India is the unique platform of the youth who believe that the welfare of an individual ultimately depends on the welfare of the society. The motto of the National Service Scheme (NSS) ‘Not me, but you’ upholds the value of selfless service, empathy to the fellow living beings, and the well-being of the society.
The NSS Unit of the school bagged the State Awards for the best NSS Unit and best volunteer. Never satisfied being branded just another service organization, the NSS Unit of the school found its niche in the society. True to its traditions, the school unit celebrated NSS Day by donating a wheelchair to a needy senior citizen this year. Smt. E Sreedevi, the President of Devikulangara Panchayat inaugurated the NSS Day Celebrations.
