The synergistic efforts of students, teachers, PTA, and School Management started paying rich dividends. A hundred percent pass in SSLC exams, the growing number of students passing HSE exams, and the whopping number of students securing A+ grades in all subjects show the positive swing in the academics of the school over the last two years.
While all the 296 students (100%) passed the SSLC examinations in 2020, all the 297 students (100%) passed the SSLC exams in 2021 also. While 23 students got A+ in all the subjects in 2020, 90 students secured A+ in all the subjects in 2021.
In 2020, 87.39% of the Science-stream students, 69.49% of Commerce-stream students, and 67.27% of Humanities-stream students passed the HSE examinations. In the 2021 HSE examinations, 96% of the Science-stream students, 97% of students of the Commerce-stream, and 79% of the students of the Humanities-stream passed and became eligible for further studies. While 8 students secured an A+ in all the subjects in the HSE examinations held in 2020, 26 students secured a full A+ in 2021.
Life in the times of Covid is different. The students missed their classes, classrooms, and classmates. They had to confine to the four walls of their homes. Our teachers, PTA, and the Management took efforts to see that all the students have access to digital gadgets to attend the online classes. The teachers strived hard to compensate for the face-to-face classes through their classes via digital platforms. The results in the examinations definitely boosted the morale of both students, teachers, and parents. The pandemic blocked the physical celebrations and felicitations.
The teachers and members of the PTA found a way out. They visited the residences of all the students who secured an A+ in all the subjects in the SSLC examination and presented them with mementos.
As the spread of Covid eased out, a small function to felicitate the students observing Covid protocol was organized to felicitate the students who secured an A+ in all subjects in the HSE examination. It was inaugurated by Smt. Ambujakshi, President, Muthukulam Block Panchayat. The students were greeted by the President of Devikulangara Panchayat, School Manager, Principal, Higher Secondary Teachers, and the Headmistress. All the students were presented with mementos.
Ms. U. Prathibha, MLA inaugurated a physical meet on 24 August 2021 to felicitate the students who secured an A+ in all subjects. Prof. K Krishna Pillai, School Manager delivered the key-note address. Sri. S Pavananathan, President of Devikulangara Panchayat felicitated the students.
